The Skotnice Complex Is in the Running for the People's Choice Award in the 2026 Building of the Year Competition
Until November 15, you can cast your vote to support the social services complex in Skotnice in the nationwide Building of the Year 2026 competition. The project, which was carried out by colleagues from VAMOZ CONSTRUCTION for the Moravian-Silesian Region, has already received an honorable mention in the Moravian-Silesian Region Building of the Year competition. Now it is also vying for the public’s favor.
What makes our project interesting?
- For the Moravian-Silesian Region, we built a residential facility with a specialized care program for 12 people with mental illness combined with intellectual or physical disabilities.
- We completely renovated the original rural farmhouse and built two new houses. During construction, we preserved the character of the surrounding buildings.
- Each of the three houses provides housing for four residents, who have their own rooms and shared living spaces.
- The architectural design promotes the residents’ independence, privacy, and natural integration into community life.
- The project also included the installation of a photovoltaic system, a rainwater harvesting system, and landscaping of the surrounding green spaces.
