We received an honorable mention for the construction of the social services complex in Skotnice
Our company, VAMOZ CONSTRUCTION, received an honorable mention in the 20th anniversary edition of the Moravian-Silesian Region Construction Competition. The expert jury recognized the social services complex in Skotnice near Mošnov, which we built for the Moravian-Silesian Region. Through the renovation of the original rural farmhouse and the construction of two new bungalows, we created a home for 12 people with mental illness or disabilities.
Modern Housing for 12 Residents
We completed the complex in the fall of 2025, and since the beginning of this year, it has been serving residents of Domov NaNovo, a regional nonprofit organization. The renovation of the original rural farmhouse and the construction of two new bungalows created housing for 12 people with mental illness or disabilities. Each of the three homes accommodates four residents, who have their own rooms as well as shared spaces. The goal of the project was to create an environment similar to a typical family home that supports the privacy and independence of its residents.
Modern Technology and a Spacious Garden
We completely renovated the original rural farmhouse and adapted it for barrier-free use. The two new bungalows are equipped with heat pumps, underfloor heating, and solar panels. The project also included the construction of roads, sidewalks, and utility networks. On a plot of approximately 7,000 square meters, we created a garden featuring a gazebo, a retention pond, and new landscaping.
We carried out the construction project for the Moravian-Silesian Region from July 2024 to October 2025. The investor’s total project costs amounted to 65 million crowns.
Honorable Mention in the Anniversary Edition
Our project received an honorable mention in the “Public Amenity Buildings—New Construction” category at the 20th anniversary edition of the Moravian-Silesian Region Construction Awards, which recognizes high-quality construction projects in the region.
