Radim Matera, responsible for innovation at Promet Group, participated in the accompanying business mission of President Petr Pavel to Luxembourg.

Radim Matera, responsible for innovation at Promet Group, participated in the accompanying business mission of President Petr Pavel to Luxembourg.

Twenty representatives of Czech companies attended the event, which was co-organised by the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Luxembourg / Ambassade de Tchéquie à Luxembourg, the Chamber of Commerce and the CzechTrade agency.

"The focus of the business mission on innovation in IT and cybersecurity is a topical issue for us not only for Industry 4.0, which we are actively involved in. Luxembourg, as the 'European tiger of innovation', has a lot to offer us in other areas as well," says Radim Matera.

The meeting with the President, which was held in a relaxed spirit, was also pleasant. "What we discussed with the President, I will not reveal yet. Among other things, I invited him to Kopřivnice. And what did the President say? He said he had already been to Tatra and I said not as president. After all, Kopřivnice is not just TATRA TRUCKS, but I will keep that to myself in case he accepts my invitation."

The busy programme included meetings between Czech and Luxembourg companies from the IT sector, cybersecurity and space technologies, as well as a tour and meeting with representatives of the University of Luxembourg. This university combines disciplines ranging from natural sciences, mathematics, technology and medicine to law, economics and finance to social sciences and education with an emphasis on applied research.

The Czech captains of industry also visited Luxinnovation GIE with presentations by the House of Cybersecurity, the Luxembourg Space Agency and the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology -
LIST. There was also a visit to the joint government-private sector project GovSat, a leading satellite operator, and the NATO Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA) focused on competitive procurement and more.
