The VOJANOVA residential project is moving into its next phase
We want to contribute to the gradual transformation of Ostrava. We are bringing our first own development project, the VOJANOVA apartment building, to the city center. This is the first step in a broader plan to revitalize the area between Černá louka and Masarykovo náměstí.

Ostrava, May 21, 2025 – The Promet Group's project to build a new residential building, VOJANOVA, in the center of Ostrava is entering its next phase. Archaeological research has begun on the planned construction site. According to the plan, further work could begin as early as September this year.
The preliminary archaeological survey will take place on a 635 m² plot of land between Vojanova Street and Smetanovo Square. Its aim is to verify whether there are any historically valuable finds in the area. The start of the survey itself represents the first visible step towards the implementation of the project in the area.
“The VOJANOVA project is thus moving into a new phase. If the archaeologists give the project the green light, we will begin the relocation of utility networks and the construction itself. According to the schedule, construction could begin in September and is expected to be completed within two years,” says Jakub Šafran, Technical and Investment Director of Promet Group.
The project involves the construction of a six-story building with a total of 26 apartments ranging in size from 2+KK to 3+KK, along with one commercial unit with amenities on the ground floor. An underground garage with a capacity of 26 parking spaces will also be built. The design is by Petr Lichnovský's architectural studio, which designed the building as a cubic structure. The location will offer residents the advantages of a central location. At the same time, however, the premises will provide a quiet and intimate environment suitable for residential living. The building is located on the border of the Černá louka complex and close to the Masaryk Square area.
The Černá louka area is one of the key areas in the city center, where a comprehensive revitalization is gradually taking place and a new modern integration into the urban fabric of Ostrava is being created. The Vojanova building is part of this plan, and Promet Group is currently working on other projects on 28. října and Velká streets. The result should be a functional connection between Černá louka and 28. října Street and the area around Masaryk Square.
The Promet Group held a series of consultations with the city of Ostrava in order to sensitively integrate the VOJANOVA building into the development in accordance with its requirements. "Preparing documentation in the historic center always requires a sensitive approach to the surroundings. We appreciate the cooperation with all our partners, thanks to whom we have been able to fine-tune the project so that it fits into this location," said Denisa Materová, CEO of Promet Group.
The VOJANOVA project will be implemented by the development company Platanus Property, which is part of Promet Holding, which oversees the development activities of the Mater family. The company's name symbolically refers to the memorable plane tree that grows in the immediate vicinity of the planned building.
