TAWESCO knows where to look for future professionals
TAWESCO cooperates with the Secondary School of Informatics, Electrical Engineering and Industrial Fields in Rožnov pod Radhoštěm, where technical education is taken seriously. The school educates approximately 640 students in a wide range of fields: from IT and electrical engineering to mechanics, metalworking and auto electronics.

Without the support of companies and European subsidies, the school would not be able to keep up with developments. How does TAWESCO support it?
- Offers internships and professional excursions
- Supplies tools, machines, sheet metal and other materials for teaching
- Supports school events - for example the district round of the SOČ competition
What do we like about the school?
- High proportion of practice in teaching
- Mutual respect between teachers and students
- Well-equipped workshops and clean, modern environment
"Sometimes parents see technical schools as grey buildings full of assembly lines. But when they come to us and see the order and the well-equipped classrooms, they often change their minds," says Ludvík Maixner, the deputy headmaster who gave us a tour of the school.
The school also offers retraining and vocational training for adults, which is in great demand - the region literally "devours" technology. Every year, around 600 candidates enrol for an apprenticeship or certificate.
From next year, a new Technical Lyceum course will open, aimed at students who plan to go on to technical universities.
Technical education is the future. And TAWESCO is there.
