Stecomtra is rebranding to Tawesco Trailers. The company is newly led by experienced Executive Director Pavel Jurečka.

Kopřivnice, April 16, 2026 – The Nový Jičín-based company Stecomtra, belonging to the Promet Group engineering division and specializing in the production of welded frames and parts for customers across continents, has undergone a significant transformation. It has a new name, Tawesco Trailers, and at the same time is led by a new Executive Director, the experienced manager Pavel Jurečka. He is tasked with preparing the company for further economic development, and the changes are related to the greater integration of the company into the Tawesco Industry group.

The renaming of the company is part of the process of a closer connection with the Tawesco Industry industrial group, which already includes the Kopřivnice-based Tawesco and its subsidiary Tawesco Automotive with plants in Úvaly and Pečky in Central Bohemia. Together, they rank among the significant European manufacturers of pressed and welded parts for the automotive sector, and manufacturers of agricultural and handling equipment. They are newly joined by Tawesco Trailers, which brings its manufacturing competencies in the production of welded frames for truck semi-trailers, trailers, and other special welded parts to the group's portfolio.

"Integration and joint operation under the Tawesco brand aims to utilize synergies even more in the areas of company management, purchasing, technical know-how, investment strategy, marketing, and business activities. We believe that this change will contribute to the further development of the company and the strengthening of its market position," says Margita Rejchrtová, CEO of the Tawesco Industry group.

Welded semi-trailer frames and special parts for the whole world

Tawesco Trailers specializes primarily in the production of semi-trailer frames using longitudinal welding technology. Its portfolio includes, for example, frames for curtain-sided and flatbed truck semi-trailers, semi-trailers for the transport of bulk materials, walking floor semi-trailers, or structures for tanker semi-trailers. The company also manufactures frames for smaller carts and trailers.

Interesting orders in the area of the company's special projects include, for example, chassis and components for mobile loaders used in ports, the production of complete frames for handling shipping containers, or components for crushing equipment. Depending on customer requirements, the company's products are directed to various markets all over the world, from Europe to overseas destinations.

Appointment of a new Executive Director

A significant change also occurred in the company's management. Pavel Jurečka became the new Executive Director, bringing years of experience from the manufacturing industry to the company.

"I look forward to the changes and believe I will build a team here that is not afraid of them. It will be crucial for me to set up processes well and rely on the experience of people right in production," states Pavel Jurečka regarding his appointment.

Pavel Jurečka has spent his entire professional life in manufacturing and technological companies. He worked for almost thirty years at Tatra Trucks, where he held a number of managerial positions. He was primarily involved in the management of the production parts of the enterprise, and for ten years, he served as the Production Director of the Kopřivnice plant. From 2019 to 2023, he was also a member of the company's statutory body. For the last three years, as CEO, he led the Slovak company Vývoj Martin, which focuses on the development and production of special military containers.

"My main priorities include increasing production efficiency and gradually expanding the portfolio of customers and orders. Along with the change in the company's name and greater integration into the Tawesco Industry group, a new stage of the company's development is opening up," adds Pavel Jurečka.
