Over the course of a year, the structural frame of a new research center has emerged on the VŠB-TUO campus
A time-lapse video captures the construction of the CPIT TL4 building for the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. The modern laboratories will provide facilities for fifty scientists who will be dedicated to the development and testing of autonomous mobility.
The interior work is currently continuing across all floors of the building. It follows on from the completed electrical, HVAC, and water distribution systems. The plastering and rough floors are complete, and the building is gradually moving into the final phase of interior finishing.
- The building is designed with almost zero energy consumption. Photovoltaic panels will be installed not only on the roof but also on the facade.
- The facility will offer scientists modern facilities for simulating and testing autonomous functions of passenger cars, trucks, buses, and mobile robots.
- The project also includes a test traffic polygon, the construction of which will begin in the spring.
- The video was created during 2025. The handover of the building is planned for June.
