Đuro Đaković is one of Croatia's largest exporters
We like the supervisory boards in Slavonski Brod, where Đuro Đaković is based. We walk through the individual halls, watch the production of wagons, talk to those who design, weld, paint, test, and sell them. Today, Đuro Đaković employs over 1,000 people and is one of Croatia's largest exporters to foreign markets.
Đuro Đaković's capacities are fully utilized, whether it be the production of freight wagons, the modernization of Bradley combat vehicles, or the production of demining machines. Our goal is to remain among the three largest freight car manufacturers in Europe and to play a significant role in the defense segment in the region, especially as the preferred partner of the Croatian Ministry of Defense.
Interesting facts about Đuro Đaković:
- The first freight car was manufactured here in 1923
- Since the 1990s, ĐĐ shares have been traded on the Zagreb Stock Exchange
- In 2022, the Promet Group and CE Industries acquired a majority stake
- Today, ĐĐ manufactures 25 types of wagons that are shipped throughout Europe
- It is 350 km to the sea and 1,150 km to Ostrava.
