Denisa Materová at the Future of Export Summit: How Promet Group Is Responding to the Challenges Facing Czech Industry
Denisa Materová, CEO of Promet Group, spoke at the Future of Export Summit 2026 in Prague. During a discussion on the reality of Czech exports, she outlined the main challenges facing industrial companies today and how our group is responding to them.
Growing competition, price pressure, and a shortage of skilled workers. According to Denisa Materová, these are the three major risks currently facing Czech industry. Promet Group is responding to them by investing in modern technologies, developing the capabilities of its companies, diversifying its customer portfolio, and seeking new opportunities in other industrial sectors. Employee training and collaboration with schools are also key components of this strategy.
Denisa Materová spoke during the main morning session of the conference, titled “The Reality of Exports from the Perspective of Industry Leaders,” alongside Richard Zelinka, owner of the engineering company ZEBR. Helena Horská, chief economist at Raiffeisenbank, also spoke about the development of the Czech economy, exports, and the economic outlook.
The Future of Export Summit 2026 conference welcomed several hundred representatives of exporting companies, banks, and other institutions at Prague’s Cubex Center. Speakers included Minister of Industry and Trade Karel Havlíček, Rudolf Klepáček, CEO of the new CzechBusiness agency, and Matyáš Pelant from the Ministry of Industry and Trade. The discussions focused on the development of the Czech economy, the situation in foreign markets, and the opportunities and obstacles faced by Czech exporters.
Another topic was the merger of the CzechTrade and CzechInvest agencies into the new CzechBusiness agency. Its goal is to integrate services for entrepreneurs and investors, simplify the system of state support for business, and make it easier for companies to access available services.
